Central Registration

Dual Registration (also known as Central Registration):

  • Each player (elite, rep, select, house league) registers with BOTH the Local Association and Baseball Ontario
  • Before any player can be registered, the following must be reviewed, acknowledged and agreed to:
    • Rowan's Law
    • Player Code of Conduct (which includes concussion code of conduct)
    • Acknowledgement of Baseball Ontario waivers must be confirmed by the player (or by parent/legal guardian if the player is under 18)

How is this done?

Local Associations MUST include Baseball Ontario waivers so when the player is registering, they are registering both locally and Provincially at the same time, completing the requirements above.

The process for ONLINE Registration is different than PAPER Registration.

Online Registration:

  • Baseball Ontario waivers must be included in your online registration process. Your service provider can help you with this.

Paper Registration:

  • The Registration, Privacy Assurance and Consent form must be attached to your manual registration form and signed by the player (or by parent/legal guardian if the player is under 18).
  • By including the above in your registration process you will be able to demonstrate compliance with the concussion awareness and player code of conduct requirements of Rowan's Law.

Compliance:

  • Due Dates:
    • House League: In conjunction with your insurance application (deadline of June 15th)
    • Rep: by usual roster submission, initial submission due June 1st, final submission June 30th
    • Select: by usual roster submission, deadline of June 30th
  • House League registrations can be submitted by exporting your existing registration platform's data.  All required information, including waivers and acknowledgements must be included in the submission.  Alternatively, you can submit using Baseball Ontario's Central Registration Upload Form.
