Combine + Showcase Tournament | Your shot at Team Ontario & the Canada Cup

Baseball Ontario is calling the province’s top talent to step on the field and compete for a spot on the Ontario Youth Team. From May 15–18, 2026, athletes will take part in a high-performance combine followed by a showcase-style tournament designed to identify the best players in Ontario—those ready to represent the province on the national stage at the Canada Cup.

What to expect

1) High-Performance Combine (Day 1)
Players will be evaluated across key tools and game-relevant measurables—speed, arm strength, defensive prowess, hitting tools (contact and power), and overall athleticism—giving athletes an early opportunity to stand out.

2) Showcase Tournament (Day 2-3)
After the combine, athletes transition into a competitive, showcase-style format where performance is assessed in game action. Players will be placed on teams and compete against each other. This is where tools meet instincts: decision-making, composure, teamwork, and impact under pressure.

Why you should be there

  • Compete against the best in the province in a structured, high-performance setting
  • Earn the opportunity to wear Ontario colours at the Canada Cup
  • Be evaluated through both metrics and game play
  • Show your complete game—tools, IQ, hustle, and leadership

Who should attend

Athletes, born in 2009 and 2010, who are serious about competing at the highest level, who want to be challenged, and who are ready to prove they belong among Ontario’s elite.

Selection Process

The coaching staff and evaluators will select the top 40-50 players from this initial ID Camp to move on to the Final Selection Camp,  in June (date TBD). The team will be selected after the Final Selection Camp. There is no additional cost if a player moves on the the Final Selection Camp.
