2025 Proposed Select Pilot
2025 PROPOSED SELECT 13U HOUSE LEAGUE SELECT PROVINCIAL TOURNAMENT PILOT
Your Select Council is proposing running a pilot in 2025 and 2026 at the 13U House League Select Provincial Tournament. Instead of the traditional double knock-out format, the Pilot contemplates that all teams will be scheduled to play 2 games, randomly assigned, on the Friday of the championship week-end. Based on the results of those games, the teams will be seeded from highest (#1) to lowest (# of teams in tournament). The teams would then play a single knockout format, pairing a high seed with a low seed, until one team remains as champion. This format can accommodate 12 teams (the number currently targeted for our Select Provincials) up to 16 teams, while requiring no more than 6 games for any team on the week-end.

You are encouraged to watch the video and review the materials, so that you can come to the Select portion of the AGM at 7:00 pm on January 30th, 2025 prepared to consider the proposal. Anyone can speak to the proposal, but only registered voting delegates may vote on the proposal.
