Please complete this form out to declare your intention to participate in High-Performance baseball in 2027 as an OBA Local or Affiliate team. By filling out this form, you are agreeing to adhere the OBA High-Performance Program policies in RP1.13 and are therefore not required to secure releases for your 2027 team.
Timelines:
To take advantage of the no release requirement and early try-out opportunities for the following season, an HP-OBA Program must:
- declare their intention to register as an HP-OBA Program for the following season by May 1 annually, otherwise the release requirements of RP1.5 would apply;
- not engage in recruitment or hold try-outs prior to:
- July 1 in the case of teams operating at 12U or 13U in the following season; or
- May 1 in the case of teams operating at 14U and above in the following season;
- complete their try-outs and announce their roster for the following season’s team by the HP-OBA Roster Deadline of:
- November 1 for teams operating at 12U or 13U in the following season; or
- The Wednesday after Labour Day for teams operating at 14U and above in the following season.
For purposes of these timelines, “recruitment” is defined as any solicitation of prospective players or their parents by a staff member or authorized representative of an OBA-HP Program for the purpose of securing a prospective player’s position at a try-out or on a team operated by the HP-OBA Program.
