Ontario's Emily Baxter Invited to Women's National Team Training Camp Ahead of WBSC

The Ontario Baseball Association is proud to congratulate Emily Baxter (Oakville, Ont.) on being invited to Baseball Canada's Women's National Team Training Camp as Canada prepares for the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Group Stage later this month.

Baxter will join some of Canada's top women's baseball athletes at training camp from July 13-15 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, before the team continues preparations in Rockford and Rosemont, Illinois, ahead of the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Group Stage, which runs July 22-26 in Rockford.

A veteran member of Canada's Women's National Team program, Baxter has consistently represented both Ontario and Canada with distinction on the international stage. Earlier this year, she helped Canada qualify for the World Cup Group Stage by defeating Puerto Rico in the WBSC Americas Qualifier and now looks to help Canada advance once again.

Canada will open Group Stage play against Hong Kong on July 22 before facing Korea, Mexico, the United States, and Australia. The top three teams from the group will advance to the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Finals, scheduled for July 2027 in Rockford, Illinois.

The Ontario Baseball Association congratulates Emily on this well-deserved opportunity and wishes her and Team Canada the very best as they prepare to compete on the world stage.
