Steve Watson Appointed Chair of the Elite Baseball League Ontario

The Elite Baseball League Ontario (EBLO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Watson as the new Chair of the EBLO, effective immediately.
Watson brings a deep, proven commitment to player development and community baseball across Ontario. He is a long-time coach with the Royal York Baseball Association, Past President of Etobicoke Baseball, and the current President of the Toronto Baseball Association.
“Steve is a respected leader who combines strong governance experience with a true passion for developing athletes and building programs that last,” said Justin Snively, Rep Commissioner. “Over the last year, he’s been a key contributor on the OBA’s High-Performance Committee and was instrumental in shaping the new High-Performance Program that was recently approved at the Fall 2025 OBA Convention. He brings the right mix of vision, credibility, and practical know-how to lead the EBLO forward.”
Watson takes over from Frank Fascia, who has led the EBLO since 2019 and will now be pursuing new coaching opportunities.
“On behalf of our athletes, coaches, teams, and volunteers, I want to extend a sincere thank you to Frank for his years of dedicated service,” Snively added. “Frank’s leadership helped strengthen the EBLO and support competitive opportunities for players across the province. We’re grateful for his impact and wish him continued success in his next chapter.”
As Chair, Watson will work closely with EBLO member organizations and OBA leadership to support league operations, competitive standards, and the continued growth of elite baseball development in Ontario.
